Who is Don?

Often a single drop of outside perspective can create a ripple of change to spark your full potential.

Don Larson is a husband & dad, a thankful grandpa, a successful business man and most importantly he helps individuals and leadership teams see their challenges, opportunities, and decisions through a wider, more dynamic lens. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, Don guides clients to explore situations from multiple angles, uncover blind spots, and challenge assumptions that may be limiting growth. His approach is rooted in the belief that clarity and innovation come from broadening one’s thinking — not narrowing it.

Drawing from a career that spans entry-level sales to the CEO role — including founding, scaling, and successfully exiting his own companies — Don brings real-world business insight to every coaching conversation. He works closely with business owners, CEOs, Individuals and leadership teams from companies ranging from small start-ups to $500M, helping them navigate the human and strategic complexities of leadership. His coaching is immersive and personal, focused on expanding a client’s perspective to foster open-mindedness, creativity, adaptability, and effective problem-solving.

Ultimately, Don’s role as a Perspectives Coach is to equip others with the mindset to make more informed decisions, build stronger teams, and unlock new potential and possibilities. By helping clients shift how they see themselves, others, and the road ahead, he enables them to lead with greater clarity, confidence, and long-term impact — no matter the size or stage of their business.

GRIT: Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity

Some lessons in life aren’t learned in classrooms—they’re forged through fire, failure, faith, and the quiet strength we call GRIT.

In my life of 68 years, I have learned nothing more important about myself than this, "I have GRIT".

There are many with higher IQ's and the gift of flourishing in Academia than myself. "For Sure"! However, there fewer that have the gift of GRIT. This last week, I was fortunate to attend a summit meeting that Angela Duckworth spoke of her years of research on the power of GRIT. I was astonished! While I had heard of GRIT and knew "something" about it, I certainly did not "know" its origin and powerful message. This one single acronym had summed up my living history.

"In no way does this eclipse the meaning of Christ to me but at a floor/real life level, it explains much of what I have only felt about myself thus far in life as it relates to academia and professional life".

In all transparency, I started a construction company without knowing construction! Yikes!! I don't recommend this to anyone, let alone doing it during one of Americas greatest recessions of the 80's. I started a water purification/correction company and "Knew" very little about the science within it. Again, not a recommendation of mine. While nursing a fledgling water treatment company, I took on yet again, ANOTHER venture in the carwash industry. Yes, I knew nothing about this industry either. Simply put, "I’m a serial entrepreneur offender". Also, during this season of life and to throw gas on my self made fire, I was going through a divorce. Nothing could be crazier and harder. When life would stack up on me like chord wood, it wasn't cerebral knowledge or an IQ that moved me forward. Outside of Christ being the only hope I had, it was GRIT that I had been given that moved me forward out of the vacuum of life I was in. Prayer is laying your burdens and joys at the foot of The Cross but you still have to get up and go as the Hands and Feet of the King.

GRIT. GRIT is a determining factor in ones place in life as we go downrange. GRIT won world wars, made heroes and legends and brought forth out of ashes ... some beautiful things, some of which, were nothing more than hope where before there was none.

May we each be Thankful for the GRIT we've been given.
